Gerstner started as a family owned business and still is family owned today. Gersnter has added Gerstner international to help find cheaper manufacturing in order to help them keep their costs low for customers. The US based company still makes wooden tool chests domestically and are 100% USA made but the international part imports chests. Their costs seem comparable to other wooden tool chests on the market.

History Of Gerstner

The wooden tool chest company was founded by Harry Gerstner in 1906 with a hundred dollar bonus from his job. He started selling door to door and gave the company a family name, Gerstner. He made chests to hold a whole set of journeyman's precision tools. The company has over one hundred years history of making tool chests.
