About Chicago Cutlery
With the growth in consumer interest in cooking and kitchen products, cutlery has seen a large growth in the use of celebrity chef endorsements and Asian blade stylings to sell at a high price point. The marketing of these knives is focused on claims of superior performance and associations with blade technology and professional chefs to get consumers to pay a typically much higher price tag. Chicago Cutlery markets itself as offering a quality knife and an affordable price. This is reinforced via it's sales through such national retail giants as Target and Wal-Mart.
History Of Chicago Cutlery
Chicago Cutlery started in 1930 as a company servicing the knives of local meat cutters and packing plants. As the demand for cutlery grew, the company became a manufacturer of knives. In 1969, Chicago Cutlery moved into the home kitchen market with the opening of it's first retail store. Because of their long history of servicing the demands of professionals, Chicago Cutlery quickly became a consumer favorite. Today, Chicago Cutlery is owned by World Kitchen, LLC and sells its quality knives through major retail stores such as Target and Wal-mart.
