Onimusha is a video game series that is both developed and published by Capcom. It is an action-adventure game that combines elements of puzzle solving and third person combat and six games have been released in the series to date, with the latest being Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (2006). Platforms include Xbox, PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows and Game Boy.

Although individual storylines vary from game to game, the overall plot concerns the continuing conflict between The Onimusha Warrior and the evil Genma Lord Fortinbras and historical Japanese stories, embellished with supernatural themes, form the basis of all major plot events. The first game, Onimusha: Warlords, sees Onimusha Samanosuke Akechi try to rescue his cousin, Princess Yuki, from the clutches of the dark lord, Nobunaga. In Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, Samanosuke is replaced by a new protagonist, Jubei Yagyu, who wages war against the evil Nobunaga and his Genma army. Both Jubei and Samanosuke return in Onimusha Blade Warriors and combine forces against Nobunaga. In Onimusha 3: Demon Siege, Samanosuke finds himself in Paris 500 years in the future and battles to save the city, while in Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, Soki, yet another protagonist, attempts to defeat a Genma army.

Replica Weapons from Onimsha

A replica is available of the Tenso sword that is used by Samanosuke in Onimusha 3: Demon Siege. "Tenso" literally means "Heaven Pair Edges" and the sword actually consists of two blades, each with a length of 28". The sword has an overall length of 40" and the blades are made of 440 stainless steel. The weapon has an ornate handle that comes with a cloth braid wrap and the hilt also sports a decorative design. A special feature is the full-length display stand table that comes with the sword and no fan of Onimusha should be without these blades.
