God of War Replica: Blades of Chaos

God of War is a series of three video games centered around the main character Kratos and Greek mythology. The first game was released for the Playstation 2 in 2005, and started Kratos' journey to kill the Greek gods. Before the start of the first game, Kratos was a young and promising in Sparta's army. When backed into a corner and about to be killed by a barbarian king, he made a deal with Ares, the god of war, offering him his soul in exchange for victory. He worked for Ares for many years, until the god of war tricked him into killing his own wife and children. He began to work under other Greek gods, trying to erase the memory of betraying his family, until Athena offers him forgiveness if he'll retrieve Pandora's box to kill Ares.

Krotos and the Blades of Chaos

When the story continues in God of War 2, Kratos has taken the throne as the new god of war. Instead of working with the other gods, he is using his powers to support the Spartans in battle. After angering the gods, he is killed by Zeus, and must travel to the Island of the Fates to change his destiny. He convinces some of the Titans to return to Olympus with him to war with the Greek gods, and in God of War 3 that is yet to be released it's speculated that Kratos will lead the Titans against them.

Kratos wields two curvy and powerful blades attached to chains known as the Blades of Chaos, that he received from Ares. He also uses similar blades known as the Blades of Athena, and the Blades of Artemis, that have elemental powers to add to the attack. The other famous blade in the God of War series is the Blade of Olympus, which is used by Zeus to kill Kratos, after he traps all of the god of war's power into it.
