What Manner of Individual Collects a Conan Sword?

One of the most beloved and memorable characters in all of fantasy literature is without a doubt Conan the Barbarian. A warrior of Cimmeria who pretty much kicks the ever loving crap out of anything with his big flamberge style sword called "The Atlantean".

Why Would Anyone Want a Conan Sword?

Why wouldn't anyone want the sword wielded by Conan? The Atlantean is a flamberge style weapon designed to be wielded by two powerful hands. The blade, as seen in the movies, is designed in a manner similar to the medieval flamberge a weapon that was used for wide arcing attacks but which also had a second hand hold above the guard where a warrior could choke up on the blade to wield it in much tighter and equally dangerous circles.

The sword has been long respected in fantasy literature as wielded by this giant, for his time, Cimmerian warrior. Conan stood at a height of six and a half feet and weighed around two hundred pounds. This mountain of a man could use The Atlantean to cleave a man in half just as easily as he fought ancient eldritch horrors or the machinations of the Stygian serpent worshipers.

What self respecting sword collector would not wish to own a weapon that was used by a simple but unrelenting barbarian to slaughter all comers and climb to the throne of Aquilonia thus becoming the greatest king of the Hyborean age and undisputed master of his domain? Who would dare stand in the way of someone wielding this mighty blade?

While it is not suggested that you purchase a Conan sword of your own then promptly go to your workplace in an attempt to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women; it is still a rather interesting weapon to own and many privately crafted versions of them are made combat ready as well.
