The Kershaw brand is a corporation founded in 1974 that manufactures knives. The Founder & President Pete Kershaw was a former salesman for Gerber Legendary Blades also a manufacturer of knives. He decided to part ways to begin his own entrepreneurial endeavors in the industry of knives. Kershaw Items were formerly manufactured in Japan where later on Kershaw became a solely owned subsidiary of the Japanese KAI Group but as the company grew in 1998 they moved the production facility to Wilsonville, Oregon and later on moved it to another facility located in Tualatin, Oregon.
