Action performed secretively,
Covert action is action taken with the intent of not being spotted. Military maneuvers behind enemy lines are often performed in a covert manner, so that the enemy will not detect any forces in the area. There are very few good examples of covert action as its very nature usually means that we never even know anything has happened.
