Airsoft Green Gas
Green Gas, sometimes referred to as Blowback Gas, is a combination of propane gas with silicone oil. The added silicone oil helps to lubricate the gun which is important when used in gas blowback airsoft guns. Since Green gas is mostly propane many airsoft enthusiasts have begun filling their gas airsoft guns with propane from small canisters normally used on camp stoves and lanterns. This is made possible by purchasing a propane adapter which screws directly onto the propane canister. Since this source does not contain lubricant it is recommended to drop silicone lubricant into the tank valve every 8 to 10 magazine refills to ensure the gun stays lubricated. Green gas has been the most popular choice among airsoft enthusiasts seeking a gas airsoft guns because of its power, cost, and ability to keep guns lubricated.

Airsoft CO2
CO2 or Carbon Dioxide is a compressed gas commonly used in pneumatic portable pressure tools and other pneumatic systems. Most CO2 airsoft guns require the use of small disposable CO2 canisters usually measuring 12 grams. CO2 has been used in both blowback and non blowback airsoft guns and is considered a very safe and stable gas.
