AirSOCOM carries a full line of Airsoft BBs including Flying Colors, Tokyo Marui and Firepower Premium. All airsoft BBs are not created equal so it is important to understand which BBs are best suited for your gun. Beginner spring powered guns can use lighter weight airsoft BBs usually .12 grams. These BBs are usually inexpensive and can be found in large bulk.

Most electric powered guns will require a higher grade of BBs. High grade airsoft BBs are manufactured to greater tolerances to produce a smoother surface for more consistent firing. Premium airsoft BBs are less likely to warp or be damaged while firing which causes less wear on the gun. Premium BBs with a weight of at least .20 grams is recommended for most electric guns. Heavier airsoft BBs such as those weighing .30 or even .35 grams are reserved for very high powered airsoft guns firing at well over 400 or even 500 feet per second. Heavier BBs have a more predictable flight pattern making them better suited for long range targets.

Biodegradable airsoft BBs are also available for outdoor competition. These BBs usually break down within 1 to 3 weeks to leave the environment unchanged and unaffected. Many outdoor airsoft tournaments have begun requiring the use of biodegradable BBs to cut down on cleanup and prevent any possible environmental effects.
